In the very beginning that I logged in to Second life, it was fun to take pictures with the sound of a real reflex camera. Now I hate that sound and animation.
There is a feature, to get rid of that sound, called "quiet snapshot to disk" in "Tools", but to be honest, I don't think that works. I have marked it, but whenever I take a shot, and that is quiet often, I hear, and everybody else too, that awful sound.
Is there another solution? Is this only with me?Do I have to change something in the settings?

Hmmm... I use the "Quiet snapshot" option often, and don't get the sound or animation.
I just had a thought -- I don't have voice enabled; I wonder if that breaks the snapshot option?
Thanks for the tip, Mare, but my voice doesn't work either, lol!;(
that feature only works if you are saving the snapshot to your hard drive. If you are sending a postcard or uploading the snapshot into inventory, you will get the aniamation and sound.
I always use quiet snapshot to disk. And i always use the quick menu alternative no previews here :-) And no animations at all.
There must be something wrong then, I need to check it out later, thanks for the comments.
I always take snapshots to disk, but don't know why, it always has that animation.
